Killing Eve

Killing Eve Is Already Renewed For Season 3

Season 2 may have only just started, but it’s never too early to renew a show that’s as thrilling and well-written as Killing Eve is.
Announced earlier today, the hit show will be coming back for a third season, this time with Suzanne Heathcote (Fear the Waking Dead) joining the show as showrunner, executive producer, and lead writer. Heathcote will take over for Season 2 showrunner Emerald Fennell, who in turn took over for series creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
President, Entertainment Networks for AMC Networks Sarah Barnett explained the instant renewal earlier today (April 8), stating that “Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Emerald Fennell have delivered two addictively entertaining seasons. As we did last year, we’re renewing Killing Eve right out of the gate, now with Suzanne Heathcote as lead writer, as a sign of confidence – we adore this show as much as our fans do. Killing Eve doesn’t do anything in a templated way; we love giving opportunity to three genius women to make their mark.” Waller-Bridge echoed Barnett’s sentiments, reassuring Killing Eve fans that they can “sleep soundly knowing these characters are safe in Suzanne Heathcote’s hilariously murderous hands.”

Season 2 of Killing Eve looks to be just as dramatic as Season 1, so we have no doubt in our minds that Heathcote is a worthy successor to Fennell, just as Fennell was to Waller-Bridge. That being said, the Season 3 news makes us even more eager to find out what will happen to Eve (Sandra Oh) and Villanelle (Jodie Comer) between now and the Season 2 finale.
For now, we’ll have to be content with watching the season premiere on repeat.
